In 2021, Texas A&M University-San Antonio, in partnership with the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, was awarded a $3.35 million dollar grant to create culturally relevant arts integrated curriculum and culturally relevant art experiences for the historically underserved south side of San Antonio. The grant encourages and supports personal, cultural, and linguistic expression for students, teachers, and families through the arts.
