Imagine a vibrant evening where students and their families come together to unleash their creativity at a "Children’s Day Family Art Engagement Night." In Mexican culture, Children's Day, known as "Día del Niño," is a cherished and vibrant celebration dedicated to honoring children and their importance in society. Observed annually on April 30th, it's a day filled with joy, games, and special treats, reflecting the deep value placed on childhood. Families dedicate the day to their little ones, treating them to outings at parks, museums, or special meals, and often giving small gifts and indulging in sweet treats.
Our students and their families created individual paintings on canvases which were placed together to create a quilt-like image of how all of our lives are woven together into a beautiful tapestry representing our community. The featured meal was enchiladas, rice, and chips.
